Xavier’s Vanden Heuvel ties for first at third Bay Conference Girls Golf Meet

SHAWANO – Xavier senior Caroline Vanden Heuvel tied for meet medalist honors as the Hawks took fifth place at the third Bay Conference Girls Golf Mini-Meet on Thursday at Shawano Lake Golf Course.

Vanden Heuvel tied Shawano’s Sophia Eggert with a 43 as both finished one stroke ahead of Seymour’s Morgan Lewis.

Sarah Rettler added a 53, Josie Egan shot a 62 and Gianna Heid had a 73 as well for the Hawks, who finished with a team score of 231. Shawano and Seymour tied for first place with 190s.

Xavier will compete at the fourth Bay Conference Meet on Monday at Golden Sands Golf Course in Cecil. Bonduel is the host team. Tee times start at 10 a.m.
