Xavier’s Vanden Heuvel ties for fifth at fifth Bay Conference girls golf meet

STURGEON BAY – The Bay Conference girls golf tournament series continued with the fifth mini-meet of the season at Cherry Hills Golf Course.

Seymour won the team title with a 206, three shots better than Shawano. Xavier was seventh with a 274.

Caroline Vanden Heuvel had a 51 to tie for fifth place to lead Xavier.

Meredith Leege had a 65, Isabela Garcia shot a 82 and Sarah Rettler had an 86 to round out Xavier’s scoring.

Sophia Eggert of Shawano won meet medalist honors with a 42, five shots better than Morgan Staszak of Bonduel.

Xavier will compete at the Ashwaubenon Invitational at Hilly Haven Golf Course on Friday.
