Xavier’s Hervey no-hits Manitowoc Lutheran in nonconference softball action

MANITOWOC – Xavier pitcher Addison Hervey tossed a five-inning no-hitter as the Hawks cruised to an 11-1 win over Manitowoc Lutheran in a nonconference softball game Friday at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.

Hervey struck out 13 and walked three, allowing just one run in the fourth inning. She also added a single and a double at the plate for Xavier, which finished with nine hits.

Angela McGreevey and Abby Ourada both had two hits in the win for the Hawks (2-2).

Xavier will host Green Bay Notre Dame for another nonconference contest on Saturday at 1 p.m.
