Xavier softball falls at home to Notre Dame

APPLETON – Green Bay Notre Dame scored four or more runs in three separate innings and handed the Xavier softball team a 14-3 loss in a nonconference matchup Saturday afternoon at Xavier High School.

Notre Dame jumped on the Hawks early, scoring four times in the first and added five more in the third to take command.

Xavier (2-2) was held to four hits and scored all three of its runs in the third inning on a bases-loaded hit by Ella Bauman.

The Hawks were done in by allowing 18 walks between their two pitchers.

Xavier hosts New London for a Bay Conference game Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
