Xavier softball earns comeback win at New London

NEW LONDON – Xavier rallied from a three-run deficit with seven unanswered runs and defeated New London 9-5 in a Bay Conference softball game Tuesday at Memorial Park.
New London took a 5-2 lead with a five-run third inning before the Hawks scored twice in the fourth and went ahead with a three-run fifth.
Elsa Dvoracek, Addison Hervey, Kaila Stammer and Mary Kendall all had two hits in the win for the Hawks, who are now 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the Bay Conference.
Morgan Staszak picked up the win for the Hawks, throwing 4 1/3 innings of shutout relief.
Xavier will play another Bay Conference game at Menasha on Thursday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
