Xavier girls win team title, Hawks boys & FVL girls finish second at Hilltopper Cross Country Invite

MOUNT CALVARY – The Xavier girls earned the team title and the boys finished second at the Hilltopper Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at St. Lawrence Seminary High School.
All six of Xavier’s girls runners finished in the top 15 as it won the team title with 27 points, holding off rival Fox Valley Lutheran, which had all of its runners end up in the top 30.
Xavier’s Lilie Fouts won the girls 5-kilometer race in 20:04.1, 16 seconds ahead of teammate Annalise Minorik. Fox Valley Lutheran’s Kristin Donart finished fifth in 21:35.4.
Watertown Luther Prep won the boys team title with 51 points, with Xavier a close second with 70. Fox Valley Lutheran was sixth with 136.
Eliott Heiderich of Watertown Luther Prep won the boys 5K in 17:27.0. Xavier’s Noah Donnermeyer took fourth in 18:26.2 and Luke Krull was 16th in 19:08.6. FVL’s top runner was Mason Dobberstein, who took 18th in 19:23.9.
The Xavier boys will compete at the Winneconne Invitational on Tuesday, and both the girls and boys teams will be in action next Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Rosholt Invite.
Both FVL teams will take part in the Mishicot Invitational on Thursday.
