Xavier girls volleyball sweeps Shawano in Bay Conference opener

APPLETON – The Xavier girls volleyball team kicked off its Bay Conference season with a 3-0 sweep of Shawano on Thursday at Xavier High School.

The Hawks won 25-16, 26-24, 25-22, to even their season record at 5-5.

Sydney Neilitz had 24 assists and five digs, Madison Daley finished with a team-high 16 kills and 10 digs, Grace Hackl had 16 digs, and Ali Tylinski chipped in five kills for Xavier.

Xavier will host crosstown rival Fox Valley Lutheran for their annual nonconference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
