Xavier girls volleyball sweeps New London

APPLETON – The Xavier girls volleyball team set up a winner-take-all Bay Conference title match with Shawano next week after sweeping New London 3-0 on Thursday night at Xavier High School.

The Hawks won 25-13, 25-12, 25-20, to improve to 6-0 in the Bay Conference and remain in a tie for first place with Shawano at 6-0. Shawano defeated Seymour 4-1 on Thursday.

Xavier will play at Shawano for the conference championship on Tuesday.

Mariah Potter had 21 assists, Halle Vande Hey had seven kills, and Annika Kowalski had five kills and seven service aces in the win for the Hawks.

Madison Daley also had five kills, and Liv Neumann and Ali Tylinski each had four kills for Xavier.
