Xavier girls volleyball sweeps Fox Valley Lutheran in annual nonconference matchup

APPLETON – The Xavier girls volleyball team swept Fox Valley Lutheran in their annual nonconference match Wednesday night at FVL.

Xavier won 25-22, 25-20, 25-15, behind 10 kills from Halle Vande Hey and 25 assists by setter Mariah Potter.

Belle Shea had a team-high 20 digs, Annika Kowalski added 11 digs, seven kills and three service aces, and Madison Daley had six kills and three aces for Xavier.

Emma Nilson led Fox Valley Lutheran with nine kills and four blocks, Riley Schmitz had 17 digs, Molly Bixby had 13 assists, and Annalise Patchett chipped in eight kills and nine digs for Fox Valley Lutheran.

Fox Valley Lutheran opens its North Eastern Conference schedule at Denmark on Thursday.

Xavier will compete at the Tom Larsen Tournament on Saturday at Green Bay Notre Dame.
