Xavier girls volleyball sweeps all five matches to win Notre Dame Invite

GREEN BAY – The Xavier girls volleyball team swept all five of its matches to earn the championship at the Tom Larsen Invitational on Saturday at Green Bay Notre Dame High School.

Xavier defeated Lakeside Lutheran 25-20, 25-9; Kewaskum 28-26, 25-11; Notre Dame 25-17, 25-12; Slinger 25-22, 25-23; and Luxemburg-Casco 25-13, 25-15.

Mariah Potter had 99 assists and six kills, Halle Vande Hey and Annika Kowalski each had 23 kills, and Belle Shea had 39 digs and nine service aces to lead the way for the Hawks.

Mattea Kiepert added 22 kills and eight aces, Belle Shea had a team-best 39 digs, and Kowalski also had 20 digs as well for Xavier.

Xavier hosts Green Bay East for a Bay Conference match Thursday at 7 p.m.
