Xavier girls volleyball rolls to title at Kettle Moraine Lutheran Invitational

JACKSON – The Xavier volleyball team won all five of its matches to earn the championship at the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Invitational on Saturday.

Xavier defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 26-24, 26-24; Union Grove 25-12, 25-8; Waukesha Catholic Memorial 25-11, 25-16; Madison Edgewood 23-25, 25-12, 17-15; and Waunakee 25-13, 25-22, to take the team title.

Halle Vande Hey had 26 kills, Aly Tylinski added 23 kills, Mariah Potter had 91 assists, and Belle Shea had 48 digs and 11 service aces in the Hawks’ five wins.

Madison Daley added 16 kills and seven aces, Olivia Neumann had 15 kills and seven blocks, and Jeena Bunks also had 14 digs for Xavier (21-1 overall).

Xavier is back in action Thursday with a Bay Conference match at Menasha.
