Xavier girls soccer blanks Shawano

SHAWANO – Gabby Wasco scored less than two minutes into the game and it proved to be enough as the Xavier girls soccer team shut out Shawano 1-0 in a Bay Conference game Tuesday at Shawano High School.

Xavier goalkeeper Molly Martine made the goal hold up as she made three saves to earn the victory.

Xavier outshot Shawano 18-3 in the victory, improving to 2-1-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the Bay Conference. Shawano falls to 2-4 and 1-2 in conference play.

Xavier will host defending WIAA Division 3 state champion Plymouth for a nonconference match Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
