Xavier girls golf wins eighth Bay Conference meet

DE PERE – Xavier had three top-five finishes to win another Bay Conference girls golf meet on Friday at Mid-Vallee Golf Course.

Aliisa Helminen had a 43 to finish second, May Shimek was third with a 44 and Elizabeth Schubbe had a 45 to tie for fourth as the Hawks won the meet with a score of 185, 10 shots ahead of Shawano.

Carolina Vanden Heuvel added a 53 and Molly Martine shot a 57 to round out Xavier’s scoring.

Heather Krause of Seymour was meet medalist with a 41.

Xavier will finish its regular-season schedule at the Bay Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf.
