Xavier girls golf takes fourth place at sixth Bay Conference Tournament meet

SEYMOUR – The Xavier girls golf team finished fourth at the sixth mini-meet of the Bay Conference Tournament series on Tuesday at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Host Seymour won the team title with a score of 188, two strokes better than Shawano. Winneconne was third with a 209 and Xavier fourth with a 213.

Sophia Eggert of Shawano won medalist honors with a 40, three shots in front of Seymour’s Gillian Herrala.

Caroline Vanden Heuvel tied for fourth with a 48 and Meredith Leege finished in a tie for ninth with a 50 to lead Xavier.

Sarah Rettler shot 55, Josie Egan had a 60 and Gianna Heid had a 65 as well for Xavier.

The seventh conference meet will be held Thursday at Mid Vallee Golf Course in De Pere.
