Xavier girls golf takes 13th at Seymour Thunder Invitational

SEYMOUR – The Xavier girls golf team finished 13th among 14 teams at the Seymour Thunder Invitational on Wednesday at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Bay Port won the team title with a 351, 17 shots ahead of Hortonville. Marshfield was third with a 384, five strokes in front of Kaukauna. Xavier finished with a 431.

Caroline Vanden Heuvel shot a 97, Meredith Leege had a 99, Sarah Rettler fired a 108 and Gianna Heid had a 127 for Xavier.

Maci McNichols of Hortonville won medalist honors with an 80, four shots better than Shawano’s Sophia Eggert.

Xavier will play the third Bay Conference Mini Meet of the season Thursday at Shawano Lake Golf Course.
