Xavier girls golf places sixth at fourth Bay Conference Girls Golf Meet

CECIL – Caroline Vanden Heuvel placed fourth with a 42 to lead Xavier at the fourth Bay Conference Girls Golf Meet of the season on Monday at Golden Sands Golf Course.

Seymour won the team title with a 177, a resounding 15 shots ahead of second-place Shawano. Xavier was sixth with a 213.

Shawano’s Sophia Eggert won individual honors with a 40, one shot ahead of Seymour’s Gillian Herrala and Morgan Lewis. Vanden Heuvel was fourth with a 42.

Josie Egan had a 54, Sarah Rettler shot 58, Gianna Heid had a 59 and Meredith Leege had a 61 to round out Xavier’s scoring.

The fifth Bay Conference meet will be Tuesday at Cherry Hills Golf Course in Sturgeon Bay. Tee times start at 10 a.m.
