Xavier girls golf captures another Bay Conference Meet title

SEYMOUR – Xavier had three top-six finishes to win the sixth Bay Conference Meet of the season on Tuesday at Crystal Springs Golf Course.

Shawano’s Sophia Eggert shot a 40 to win individual honors, but Aliisa Helminen tie for third with a 43, May Shimek took fifth with a 44 and Elizabeth Schubbe was sixth with a 46 to lead Xavier to the team win.

The Hawks finished with a score of 184, 10 shots ahead of Shawano.

Caroline Vanden Heuvel added a 51 and Molly Martine had a 55 as well for the Hawks.

Xavier will compete at the Heart of the Valley/Metro Invitational on Friday at High Cliff Golf Course. The meet was rescheduled after being rained out Aug. 14.
