Xavier girls, boys each place sixth at Winneconne Cross Country Invitational

WINNECONNE – Both the Xavier girls and boys cross country teams finished sixth at the 12-team Winneconne Invitational on Tuesday at Winneconne High School.

The Winneconne boys and Neenah girls earned team titles as more than 150 varsity runners competed in the two 5-kilometer races.

Will Sullivan finished 14th in 17:55.7 and Kyle Watry was 24th in 18:19.3 to lead the Xavier boys.

Xavier’s top girls runner was Noelle Nevins, who finished 19th in 21:51.9, and Joy Krull took 22nd in 21:59.6 for the Hawks.

Xavier will compete at the Rosholt Invitational on Saturday.
