Xavier girls basketball thumps New London

NEW LONDON – The Xavier girls basketball team snapped a three-game losing skid with a 56-41 victory over New London in Bay Conference action Monday at New London High School.

The Hawks, playing their fourth-straight road game in a five-game stretch away from home, had three players finish in double figures as Annika Heimann led the way with 16 points.

Brynn Krull added 14 points and Hailey Hafner 10 for Xavier, which improves to 8-10 overall and 5-3 in the Bay Conference.

Shaye Allen led New London (4-13, 1-7 Bay) with 12 points.

Xavier hits the road again Tuesday night with a Bay Conference matchup at Green Bay East.
