Xavier finishes fourth at first Bay Conference Boys Golf Tournament event

NEW LONDON – Xavier opened up its season with a fourth-place finish at the first Bay Conference Boys Golf Tournament series event on Tuesday at Shamrock Heights Golf Course.

Seymour won the team title with a combined nine-hole score of 167, three shots ahead New London and four in front of West De Pere. Xavier was fourth with a 177.

Vince Sigl of Seymour won medalist honors with a 35.

Jon Bertram tied for fifth with a 41 to lead Xavier. Kyle Watry had a 42, Grant Neumann shot a 47, and Joe Ourada had a 56 as well for the Hawks.

Xavier will participate at the Metro Invitational on Monday at High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood.
