Xavier boys soccer shuts out Winneconne

APPLETON – Xavier scored a pair of goals in the first half and the Hawks went on to a 2-0 victory over Winneconne in a nonconference boys soccer game Tuesday night at Xavier High School.

Ben Kaufman scored in the 13th minute and Ethan Long added a goal later in the first half off an assist from Nick Vajda to give the Hawks all they needed in posting the home victory.

Xavier is now 12-4-1 this season, while Winneconne falls to 4-8-3.

Xavier returns to Bay Conference action Tuesday at home against Shawano. The game will start at 6:30 p.m.
