Xavier boys golf places third at second Bay Conference meet

NEW LONDON – Grant Neumann tied for fifth with a 41 to lead Xavier to a third-place finish at the second Bay Conference Boys Golf Meet of the season Tuesday at Shamrock Heights Golf Course.

Seymour won the team title with a score of 157, led by meet medalist Vince Sigl, who fired a 34. West De Pere was second with a 163 and Xavier took third with a 178.

Kyle Watry shot a 44, Jack Schmidtke had a 46, and Derek Watry and Jonah Gentry both had 47s to round out Xavier’s scoring.

Xavier will compete at the Metro Boys Golf Tournament on Monday at High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood. The tournament begins at 11 a.m.
