Xavier boys basketball stays perfect with nonconference home win over Wautoma

APPLETON – The Xavier boys basketball team ran its record to a perfect 7-0 with an 82-71 nonconference win over Wautoma on Friday night at the Torchy Clark Gymnasium at Xavier High School.
The Hawks busted open a tight game with a 47-point second half to win by 11 and keep their perfect record intact.
Tyler Brightman went 10-for-12 from the field and scored a team-high 21 points for the Hawks, while also grabbing 11 rebounds.
Hayden Quimby added 15 points and Sam Pfefferle scored 13 in the win for Xavier.
Carson Armstrong had a game-high 32 points for Wautoma (3-4).
Xavier hosts Green Bay West for a Bay Conference tilt on Thursday at 7 p.m.
