APPLETON – The Xavier boys basketball team had 12 different players score as it took care of business from the opening tip and rolled past winless Green Bay East 88-34 in a Bay Conference game Monday night at Xavier High School.
Xavier dominated the first half, jumping out to a 56-12 lead by halftime, evoking a running clock in the second half.
Tyler Brightman had 14 points and seven rebounds, and sophomore Kyler Bleck, seeing varsity action for just the second time this season, hit three 3-pointers and scored 12 points in 10 minutes off the bench for the Hawks.
Xavier is now 16-1 overall and 10-0 in the Bay Conference, and opens up a full two-game lead over second-place West De Pere with four Bay games remaining in the season.
