Xavier boys basketball puts up 90 points in season-opening win over Winneconne

APPLETON – The Xavier boys basketball team was cooking in its season-opener as it knocked down 11 3-pointers and rolled to a 90-59 nonconference win over Winneconne on Wednesday night at Xavier High School.

Luke Oelhafen had 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, Logan Ramczyk added 17 points and Caden Schuler chipped in 15 as all three made a pair of 3-pointers in the victory for the Hawks.

Xavier ran out to a commanding 54-30 lead by halftime and went on to finish off the 31-point victory.

Parker Ingles led Winneconne with 31 points.

The Hawks will host Fox Valley Lutheran for their annual cross-town nonconference battle on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
