Xavier boys basketball pulls away in second half to defeat Seymour

APPLETON – The Xavier boys basketball team nearly doubled up Seymour in the second half and pulled away for a 70-44 win in Bay Conference action Tuesday night at Xavier High School.
The Hawks led 31-24 at halftime before putting a 39-20 run on Seymour in the second half to earn the 26-pooint victory.
Luke Oelhafen had 19 points and Reid Hietpas added 13 points in the win for the Hawks, who improve to 13-1 overall and remain perfect in the Bay Conference at 7-0. Nine different Xavier players found the scoring column.
Kyler Marks led Seymour (8-6, 4-4 Bay) with 16 points.
Xavier will enjoy a week off before hosting Menasha next Tuesday, Jan. 30. The game starts at 7 p.m.
