Xavier boys basketball pounds Kettle Moraine Lutheran in season-opener

APPLETON – Four Xavier players scored in double figures as the Hawks rolled past Kettle Moraine Lutheran 84-43 in a nonconference boys basketball game to open their 2023-24 season Wednesday night at Xavier High School.

Xavier made 17 of 30 shots from 3-point range and held a 40-21 rebounding advantage in the home win.

Tyler Brightman and Hayden Quimby each scored 16 points, Sam Pfefferle added 15 and Logan Ramczyk chipped in 12 for Xavier. Quimby and Ramczyk each had four 3-pointers, and Brightman had three.

Xavier hosts Valders for another nonconference game Monday at 7 p.m.
