Xavier boys basketball finishes off undefeated Bay Conference title with rout of Shawano

APPLETON – The Xavier boys basketball team finished off an undefeated Bay Conference championship season with a resounding 91-52 win over Shawano on Thursday night at the Torchy Clark Gymnasium at Xavier High School.
Xavier had 10 players score in the win, four in double figures, as it finishes the regular season with a 22-2 record and a perfect 14-0 mark in the Bay Conference.
Tyler Brightman had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Isaiah Des Jardins had 15 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting, and Luke Oelhafen added 12 points and seven rebounds in the win for Xavier.
Xavier made 11 3-pointers, three from Des Jardins, in the victory.
Logan Sipple led Shawano (8-16, 5-9 Bay) with 14 points.
Xavier will enjoy a week off before hosting a WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal on Friday, March 1, against the winner of Tuesday’s quarterfinal between Two Rivers and New Holstein.
