Xavier boys basketball falls one point short to St. Thomas More

MEQUON – Xavier sophomore Logan Ramczyk hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 32 points, but the Hawks came up a point short, losing to Milwaukee St. Thomas More 71-70 on Saturday at the Rick Majerus Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout at Concordia University.

Ramczyk finished 11-for-17 from the field and made all five of his free throw attempts for Xavier, which drops to 5-3 this season.

Joe Gallucci added 15 points, and Luke Oelhafen had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks.

St. Thomas More (4-5) was 13-for-25 from 3-point range, with Quinn Buscher knocking down five as he had 17 points. Omar Fofana had a team-best 24 points and six rebounds for the Cavaliers.

Xavier will play a nonconference game at Ripon on Monday. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
