GREEN BAY – Five Xavier players scored in double figures as the Hawks rolled to an 88-50 win over Green Bay West in a Bay Conference contest Tuesday at West High School.
The Hawks put up 53 points in the first half to take a 23-point lead and went on to a 38-point victory, improving to 17-1 overall and 11-0 in the Bay Conference.
Logan Ramczyk was 9-for-10 from the field, which included three 3-pointers, and scored a game-high 22 points for Xavier, winners of eight-straight games.
Tyler Brightman added 18 points, Reid Hietpas and Hayden Quimby both scored 13, and Sam Pfefferle kicked in 11 for the Hawks.
“We played a very strong end to the first half and start to the second half,” Xavier coach Matt Klarner said. “Logan was a spark defensively with his ball pressure and offensively he was scoring and assisting. It wasn’t a great shooting night, but we got the ball inside and had a lot of success in the paint.”
Dakotha Montez and Deontae Steele both scored 15 points for Green Bay West (4-15, 2-9 Bay Conference).
Xavier hosts New London on Friday and with a victory it would clinch its eighth Bay Conference championship in the past nine seasons, and fourth in a row.
