Xavier baseball shuts out Luxemburg-Casco in WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal

LUXEMBURG – Parker Bleck tossed his second-straight shutout in the playoffs as the Xavier baseball team blanked Luxemburg-Casco 8-0 in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal Tuesday at Luxemburg-Casco High School.
The sixth-seeded Hawks (13-12) move on to a D-2 regional final at No. 2 seed Denmark (18-6) on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Third-seed Luxemburg-Casco finishes its season at 14-10.
Bleck allowed just three hits and two walks in a seven-inning complete game, striking out 11 as he continued his postseason dominance. He also shut out North Fond du Lac last Wednesday in the Hawks’ playoff opener.
Anthony Weyers had two hits and three RBI, and Bleck and Luke Krull also knocked in runs for Xavier in the victory.
