Wrightstown holds off Fox Valley Lutheran in NEC girls basketball

WRIGHTSTOWN – Wrightstown took over sole possession of second place in the North Eastern Conference girls basketball standings with a narrow 49-45 win over Fox Valley Lutheran on Friday at Wrightstown High School.

Wrightstown is now 4-5 overall and 4-1 in the NEC, 1½ games behind unbeaten Freedom (9-1, 6-0 NEC). Luxemburg-Casco’s loss to Denmark moves the Tigers into second place alone in the conference.

Eden Last scored 12 points, and Brianna Dahlke and Grace Meier each had nine for Fox Valley Lutheran, which falls to 3-5 and 3-3 in conference play.

FVL will be at first-place Freedom on Tuesday.
