West Salem runs past Fox Valley Lutheran to win WIAA Division 2 boys basketball sectional semifinal

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A fantastic season for the Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball team came to crashing halt on Thursday night as the No. 2 seed Foxes couldn’t keep up with No. 1 West Salem and lost 92-71 at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School in a WIAA Division 2 sectional semifinal.

West Salem (24-3) moves on to a D-2 sectional final against River Falls (20-7) on Saturday at Neillsville High School at 1 p.m. River Falls downed Wausau East 75-65 on Thursday at Eau Claire North.

Fox Valley Lutheran finishes the season with a 24-3 record, and North Eastern Conference and regional championships.
