West Bend dominates Fox Cities Stars boys hockey in WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal

WEST BEND – West Bend scored seven unanswered goals over the first two periods and went on to defeat the Fox Cities Stars 8-1 in a WIAA Division 1 boys hockey regional semifinal Tuesday at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center.

Brock Deist and Logan Woods each scored twice, and Deist had two assists as the No. 6 seeded Ice Bears (13-12) cruised to the victory and into a regional final matchup at No. 3 Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha on Friday.

Ryan Ostermann scored off an assist from Cale Adamovich midway through the third period for the Stars’ only goal. Fox Cities finishes the season with an 8-17 record.

Elliot Reichenbacher had 33 saves in goal for the Stars.
