Two late goals push Fox Cities Stars girls hockey past Cap City

WAUNAKEE – Kendall Lindemann scored twice in the final 4½ minutes to give the Fox Cities Stars girls hockey team a 4-2 victory over the Cap City Cougars in a nonconference game at The Pond on Saturday.
Evie Mursau and Ella Merritt scored for the Stars to give them a 2-0 lead early in the second period.
Cap City (6-8) responded with a pair of goals to tie the game before Lindemann knocked home two more for Fox Cities (6-4) to move ahead, and eventually earn the victory.
Addison Grasse made 49 saves in goal for the Stars.
The Stars will play an Eastern Shores Conference game at Wisconsin Valley Union in Waupaca on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
