Stevens Point outlasts Appleton East girls basketball

APPLETON – Jada Seubert hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 29 points to lead Stevens Point to a 59-53 win over Appleton East in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday at Appleton East High School.
The Patriots led 29-28 at halftime but were outscored by seven in the second half as they suffered their fourth loss in their last five games.
Torie Neubauer had 16 points and nine rebounds, Ella Sweeney finished with 14 points and Jenna Ott added 10 for Appleton East (8-5).
Appleton East returns to Fox Valley Association action Friday at Fond du Lac.
