APPLETON – Xavier fell behind by 13 points by halftime and its mad comeback in the second half fell a bucket short as Seymour held on for a 63-61 victory in a Bay Conference boys basketball game Friday at Xavier High School.
Seymour led 39-26 at halftime before the Hawks climbed back in it, mostly on the back of Logan Ramczyk, but fell just short.
Ramczyk scored 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Hawks, who fall to 17-6 overall and 11-2 in the Bay Conference and one game out of first place as West De Pere defeated New London on Friday.
Kyler Marks scored 19 points and Jordan Krause added 14 for Seymour (16-6, 9-4 Bay Conference).
Xavier plays at New London and West De Pere is at Green Bay West in the final Bay Conference games of the season on Thursday.
