Plymouth pulls away in second half to down Appleton West boys basketball

PLYMOUTH – Plymouth used a big advantage at the free throw line to hold off Appleton West 78-61 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Plymouth High School.
Plymouth (3-0) went 22-for-28 at the free throw line, while Appleton West was only 5-for-6, providing the difference in the game.
The Panthers led by five points at halftime before outscoring West (0-4) by 12 in the second half to pull away.
Parrion Peace had 22 points and Thomas Schueppert made four 3-pointers and finished with 12 points for the Terrors.
Jordan Schmitt scored a team-high 20 points for Plymouth, making 10 of his 11 free throw attempts.
Appleton West returns to Fox Valley Association play Friday at Appleton North as part of a boys-girls doubleheader. The boys game starts at 6 p.m., with the girls to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
