Oshkosh West outlasts Appleton West boys soccer

APPLETON – Brandon Palomaki had a hat trick to lead Oshkosh West to a 4-1 win over Appleton West in a Fox Valley Association boys soccer game Thursday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.

Appleton West’s only score came on a penalty kick from Kivi Itecha four minutes into the second half.

Keyson Lehrer finished with 10 saves in goal for the Terrors.

Oshkosh West, which scored three goals in the second half to pull away, is now 5-1-2 overall and 3-1-1 in the FVA, while Appleton West drops to 3-4-2 and 1-2-2 in conference play.

Appleton West will play Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids at a quadrangular at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
