Oshkosh West outlasts Appleton West boys basketball

APPLETON – Four Oshkosh West players scored in double figures as the Wildcats pulled past Appleton West 71-51 in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Friday night at Appleton West High School.

Oshkosh West pulled out to a 12-point lead by halftime and held the Terrors comeback attempt at bay in the second half, outscoring them by eight.

Parrion Peace had a game-high 21 points for Appleton West, which remains winless at 0-14 overall and 0-9 in the FVA. Reid Hinkens added 10 points and Lucas Downs scored nine in the loss for the Terrors.

Drew Blair had 15 points and Collin Carns added 13 for Oshkosh West (5-9, 3-6 FVA).

Appleton West hosts Appleton North as part of a girls-boys doubleheader on Tuesday. The girls game begins at 6 p.m., with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
