Oshkosh West hands Appleton North baseball its first FVA loss

APPLETON – The Appleton North baseball team had its four-game winning streak snapped, suffering a 7-1 loss to Oshkosh West in a Fox Valley Association game Tuesday at North High School.
Avery Mosloski threw a complete game, striking out seven without a walk, and did not allow a run until the seventh inning.
Evan Johnson and Austin Albrecht each drove in a pair of runs for Oshkosh West (4-3, 2-1 FVA).
Matthew Hietpas had a double and scored on a two-out error in the bottom of the seventh for Appleton North’s lone run of the game.
The Lightning (5-2, 2-1 FVA) plays at first-place Kimberly on Thursday at Sunset Park at 4:30 p.m.
