Oshkosh West doubles up Appleton North softball

APPLETON – The Appleton North softball team dropped its third-straight game, dropping a 10-5 decision to Oshkosh West on Monday at North High School.

Oshkosh West (15-7, 13-3 Fox Valley Association) pulled away using a five-run fourth inning. After Appleton North scored three times in the sixth thanks to an error and a two-run single by Lila Griffith, the Wildcats added insurance with two runs in the seventh.

Raegen Schwarz hit a two-run home run, and Peyton Smith and Maggie Hendrick each had two hits for Appleton North (6-15, 4-12 FVA).

Appleton North plays at Neenah on Tuesday.
