Oshkosh North slugs past Appleton North softball

OSHKOSH NORTH – The Appleton North softball team finished with 10 hits but couldn’t curtail Oshkosh North’s hot offense and dropped a 9-5 decision to the Spartans in Fox Valley Association action Tuesday at Oshkosh North High School.

Leadoff hitter Alyssa Wald went 4-for-4 and scored twice, Payton Willenkamp had a pair of doubles, and Raegen Schwartz knocked in two runs for Appleton North, which falls to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the FVA.

Kara Cummings earned the complete game win on the mound for Oshkosh North (3-2, 2-1 FVA) and also had three hits and two RBI.

Morgan Kolodzik had three doubles and scored three times as well for the Spartans.

Appleton North will be at home against Hortonville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
