New London slips past Appleton North girls basketball

NEW LONDON – The Appleton North girls basketball suffered a close 38-35 nonconference loss at New London on Tuesday night.

Shayna Williamson scored 15 points for the Lightning as they fall to 7-7 this season.

Caitlin Strosenreuther led New London (13-3) with 10 points.

Appleton North hosts Hortonville as part of a boys-girls Fox Valley Association doubleheader on Friday. The boys game begins at 6 p.m., with the girls to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m. The Lightning will look to avenge a 15-point loss at Hortonville back on Nov. 30.
