New London outlasts Xavier baseball

APPLETON – New London scored twice in the top of the first inning and never trailed as it pulled away to defeat Xavier 19-6 in a Bay Conference baseball game Friday at Don Hawkins Field.

The Hawks (5-6, 2-5 Bay Conference) stayed close but a 10-run top of the seventh for New London put the game away.

Xavier was hurt by 15 walks from its six pitchers, and also committed seven errors in the loss.

Luke Krull had two hits and an RBI for Xavier.

Logan Ten Haken paced the Bulldogs (3-3 overall and Bay) with three hits and three runs scored.

Xavier hosts Green Bay East/West at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Field.
