Neenah stymies Appleton East girls basketball

NEENAH – Neenah used a stifling defensive effort, holding Appleton East to just 10 made field goals, and defeated the Patriots 64-27 in a Fox Valley Association girls basketball game Tuesday at Neenah High School.
The Rockets (16-3, 11-2 FVA) rolled out to a 35-12 lead by halftime and were able to finish off the win from there.
Allie Ziebell scored 24 points and Rowan Klesmit added 15 for Neenah.
Torie Neubauer had nine points to top Appleton East (11-7, 7-6 FVA).
Appleton East will be back in action Friday at home against first-place Hortonville.
