Neenah rallies to down Appleton East softball

APPLETON – Neenah scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a 10-7 win over Appleton East in a Fox Valley Association softball game Friday at East High School.
The Patriots led 6-4 after six innings but couldn’t hold on as Neenah (10-7, 9-7) had three hits and East committed an error in the decisive frame.
Elizabeth Jacobs took the pitching loss for Appleton East (5-11, 5-9 FVA) and smacked a three-run homer. Miley Bee also added a pair of hits and scored twice for the Patriots.
Appleton East hosts Freedom for a nonconference game on Saturday at noon.
