Neenah holds on to defeat Appleton East boys basketball

APPLETON – Brady Corso scored 24 points and Luke Jung added 21 as Neenah handed the Appleton East boys basketball team its seventh-straight loss, winning 62-55 on Tuesday at East High School.

Corso went 12-for-12 at the free throw line, and Jung was a perfect 8-for-8 from the field to pace the Rockets, who are now 11-7 overall and 8-5 in the FVA.

Joey LaChapell continued his strong offensive season for Appleton East (3-12, 2-10 FVA) with 29 points, and Cade Prestigiacomo added 14 points in the loss.

Appleton East hosts Hortonville as part of a girls-boys doubleheader on Friday. The girls game begins at 6 p.m., with the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
