Milhaupt smacks walk-off homer as Xavier baseball tops West De Pere

APPLETON – Titan Milhaupt drilled a walk-off three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Xavier baseball team a 5-3 win over West De Pere in a Bay Conference game Thursday at American Legion Post 38’s Don Hawkins Field.
The Hawks trailed 3-1 entering the bottom of the seventh before rallying. An error allowed Frankie Cavaiani to score. After a pop out, Milhaupt smacked a home run to left field to win it for Xavier as it won its second game in a row after an 0-5 start to the season.
Milhaupt and Cavaiani each had two hits for the Hawks (2-5, 1-4 Bay), who finished with eight overall.
Laliwa Delgado homered for West De Pere (2-3, 2-2 Bay).
Xavier will have a week off before hosting Waupaca on Thursday, April 24, at Don Hawkins Field.
