Meulemans scores 27 to lead Appleton East girls basketball past Kaukauna

KAUKAUNA – Lilly Meulemans hit five 3-pointers and poured in 27 points to lead the Appleton East girls basketball team to a 63-54 win over Kaukauna in a Fox Valley Association game Friday night at Kaukauna High School.
Torie Neubauer added 17 points and nine rebounds, and Ella Sweeney had 10 rebounds in the game for the Patriots, who improve to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the FVA.
Jozy Ebben scored 13 points for Kaukauna.
East’s win drops Kaukauna to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the FVA, leaving Neenah (3-0) as the only undefeated team left in the Fox Valley Association.
Appleton East hosts Oshkosh North on Tuesday.
